Welcome to Kachemak Sled Dog Kennels! Located near Homer, Alaska. Kelly and Jason Cameron have been operating since 2002, running sled dog tours in the winter from their own kennels and also working on the Godwin and Herbert Glaciers during the summer.

"Running sleddogs is both a hobbie and a passion and we love to share the magical experience with others, there are no words to describe the thrill of hooking up a team of excited Alaskan huskies and taking off down the trail towards the beautiful Caribou Hills. You truly have to experience it firsthand".

Everything at Kachemak Kennels revolves around driving dogs.  It's a recreational activity that willingly brings humans and dogs to the ultimate unit (team),  which can sustain itself for days and hundreds of miles, in the most remote locations, and extreme weather.  You can share these experiences with Kelly and Jason.  Check our websight throughout the winter for updates on races that Jason is participating in.  You can also experience the excitement first hand on their sled dog tours.  Come out for a half hour ride, a full day or even multiple days, staying in remote cabins and lodges.

Welcome back to Kachemak Kennels!

We just want to say that sled dogs have been around for many years.

Even before an economy exsited there was a union between working dogs and humans.  You'd better start adopting some.  Go to your local animal shelter and find some misunderstood high energy dogs and start a team now.  Start with just one if you have to.  Get a head start!  You'll need them and they need you!  For those in the warm climates, you don't need snow.  Use wheels.
